A working prototype of a hospital system data tracking and visualization tool which draws upon bed and ward-level data to present continuous information on hospital system utilization and capacity.
All Campus View
Landing page and high-level summary of all campuses by ward. Shows different bed types and availability for each ward on the campus. 3 campuses are visible side-by-side. Use the blue navigation arrows to explore all other campuses.
Filtering
Filters can be applied globally to all campuses to search for different bed states (available, occupied, or occupied for specific cases – Covid-19) as well as total bed counts. WORK IN PROGRESS
Applying the individual filtering toggle will allow individual campuses to be filtered independently to compare conditions and counts across campuses more specifically.
Single Campus View
Clicking “GO TO CAMPUS” will expand a map view and navigate to the campus location. Orange wards represent wards being tracked currently. Hovering over a ward will show a high level summary of the ward while the sidebar shows the combined ward data of the entire campus. The filtering bar at the top allows for filtering of wards within the campus in both the map and the data visualization of ward occupancy.
Navigation of the Map
The map is interactive with the following mouse / trackpad controls.
Left Click + Drag: Drag and reposition the location of the map
Right Click + Drag: Orbit the map in 3D
Scroll to Zoom: Scroll with the mouse wheel or trackpad to zoom in and out of the map
The zoom in and out buttons in the bottom right corner will also work as well as clicking on the compass and dragging your cursor to change the orientation of the map.
Global Campus View (In Map)
Zooming out from a campus will reveal a map-based view of the entire system. High level details about each visible (and non-visible) campus in the system will be displayed in the sidebar while hovering over a campus will display that campus details in a card over the map. Clicking on the point will navigate to that campus. Clicking “BACK TO ALL CAMPUS SUMMARY” will return to the global data visualization.
Single Ward View
Clicking on a single ward in the campus view will return a sidebar panel which shows available and occupied beds by bed type and occupancy state. Other ward details can be provided here as well. Click “BACK TO ALL OF [CAMPUS]” to return to the complete campus view.
